Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a technique of using aromatherapic oils for alleviation of pain and for curing disease. This method of treatment has roots in Jewish sources. In fact, our forefathers were experts in the healing powers that aromatherapic oils contain, and massaging the body with these oils was part of preventing illness and maintaining good health. It is widely recognized that specific oils derived from certain trees, herbs and flowers have the power to influence a person’s health and to improve his quality of life.

This course teaches recognition of the broad spectrum of aromatherapic oils and their basic characteristics and familiarity with the formulas prepared from various oils to treat an assortment of problems.

The term “aroma” refers to the smell that comes from the oil. The oil’s effect can be achieved in different ways: by absorption through the skin through special massage, by smelling and by swallowing. Treatment with aromatherapy enhances all forms of massage. This method is therefore considered an important tool in the family of manual treatments.

Aromatherapy provides a natural answer to problems that conventional medicine has no answer to, such as the treatment of rheumatic fever, alleviation of pain in spinal problems, alleviation of psychological pressure, various problems of the respiratory system and problems of the digestive system.

Among topics studied: recognizing the oils, effective combinations of these oils with one another, different pathological conditions and the aromatherapic answer to them
