Healing

The name of this method is derived from the verb “to heal” and is probably also connected to the word “halo,” which means spiritual wrapping. The uniqueness of this technique is its power to heal without touch. Part of the treatment involves passing the hand above the body of the patient, thereby transmitting energy from the healer to the patient. The healer transmits his healing power by concentration and focusing attention on certain points in the body. Every person possesses a heavenly gift enabling him to heal and alleviate pain. Practically any contact and human closeness can alleviate pain, provided the healer desires to help the one suffering.

Through certain techniques we can utilize the power in the hand to absorb messages from the body’s tension centers and dissolve them. This technique works through the various layers of the body. The most important are the meridians, which are energy channels spread throughout the body, including the extremities and the chackras, energy centers located along the spine. These energy centers have an impact on body movement and personality. Professional treatment enables their balanced action in the body.

The term “halo” mentioned above refers to the spiritual wrapping that we each possess that is closely related to the vitality of the body. When a person is healthy, his body radiates a complete halo. When there are deficiencies, the healer will discover those deficiencies in the halo and treat them. The healing course teaches the method of transmitting energetic influence as a spiritual pipeline.

(It is important to note that there are various methods of healing studied throughout the world whose users attribute supernatural powers to themselves or others. This attitude is not acceptable from a Jewish point of view. There are also methods that incorporate symbols in treatment, something completely forbidden by halacha. It is superfluous to stress that in Shelem healing, like all other methods, is taught with total adherence to halachic dictates and Torah outlook.)
