In Judaism, chirology is known as the wisdom of the palm of the hand. The deep secrets of this art were familiar to our Sages but are not known to us.
Over the last few decades, the system of diagnosis using the palm of the hand has developed significantly. On the level in which its effectiveness can be proven scientifically (according to the system of the psychologist Dr. Holtzman), it seems that chirology does not have a direct connection to the field of alternative medicine. ??This is not so. The basis of alternative medicine is the close connection between a person’s psychological and physical conditions. The soul is the highest level in a human being, and its condition can have a beneficial or harmful effect on the person. That’s why chirology is a part of the family of holistic diagnostic systems that help define the precise state of the person in the level of body/soul and ultimately heal him.
A person’s hand reveals his thought patterns, self-esteem, characteristics and personality traits, attitudes to others, pathological conditions in the body and more.
